Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company hosted two grand opening public celebrations on Saturday, Dec. 3. The first was a Meet and Greet from 2 to 5 p.m. at their new Nashville location, 137 2nd Ave. N. #201. The event featured Carey Hart and X Games gold medalist, Mike Mason, who were both be on hand to sign autographs, take pictures and visit with the public. The second event, an after party, started at 8 p.m. on the roof of the Hard Rock Café.
“We love what we do and we love Nashville. Visiting Nashville has always been a fun and memorable experience for me. We want to celebrate the opening of our amazing new shop,” said Carey Hart, Hart & Huntington founder. “I’m especially excited about what we’ve created in this expansive space that is unique to Nashville. Design-wise, it has a different look and feel from our other shops. We highlighted the brick and wood columns, original to the building, which was built in the 1860s.”
With 3,740 square feet, Hart & Huntington’s Nashville location is the brand’s largest shop and the newest model with eight tattoo stations, a large selection of retail merchandise, a roomy, separate consultation area and a comfy client lounge for relaxing.
Hart & Huntington opened the world’s first casino tattoo parlor in Las Vegas in 2004, which was the site of A&E’s top rated tattoo reality series “Inked.” The show chronicled the shop’s talented tattoo artists as they went through the ups and downs of running a highly successful business on the strip.
Founded by motocross legend Carey Hart, Hart & Huntington Tattoo is not a typical tattoo shop. Created out of a desire to provide a tattooing experience that lives up to consumer’s expectations, Hart & Huntington Tattoo offers a clean, safe environment that operates with the highest health and safety standards and is staffed with the best in the business. With three other high profile locations under its belt and Hart’s name on the door, the concept has already become a top destination attraction in Las Vegas, Orlando and Niagara Falls, Canada.
“We’ve been looking at Nashville for a couple of years,” Hart said. “It has such a youthful feel to it. The energy is great. The influence of music is huge for us. Nashville works with our brand. We want to be a part of the energy and momentum that’s here.”
Hart is also looking forward to being more involved with the motorcycle scene in Nashville.
“Motorcycles are a part of my passion,” Hart said. “We intend to build relationships with the local motocross tracks and get as involved as possible. ‘Ink, rock and moto’ is our mantra. It’s a lifestyle that influences our brand. We anticipate that our Nashville shop will become an important stop for locals and tourists too, who are looking to get some body art as a sort of lifelong souvenir of a landmark moment or their visit to Music City.”
