HippyTree was thrilled to celebrate a successful first year of its #52weeksofnature Instagram photo contest and campaign last weekend. It was a packed house at the Shockboxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach where all 52 winning images from the 2017 photo contest were displayed for the public.

Over 30 of the winning 52 photographers were in attendance, some coming from as far as British Colombia, Mexico, Hawaii and Florida. Photographers and select retailers were treated to a special pre- show reception and dinner featuring artisanal pizza from The Urban Oven and craft beer from King Harbor Brewing Co. Attendees were also given the opportunity to network with HippyTree staff and tribesmen including renowned photographer Travis Burke and surfers Tommy Witt, Tommy Cantrell and Jason Napolitano. HippyTree Founder and CEO Andrew Sarnecki addressed the standing room only crowd singling out four of the 52 images for special awards. The Staff Choice award was selected by HippyTree employees. Over 4,000 people voted online to choose the People’s Choice awards.
