New designs pair elevated performance with unpretentious soft top fun.

Published: March 7, 2018 Press Release

INT, premier designer and manufacturer of hand-crafted soft surfboards, has launched a new collection of surfboard designs in their proprietary hybrid construction featuring soft PE foam decks and hand shaped rails with hard fiberglass bottoms. All models, designed by Jason Koons (Super, Pyzel, Figures of Merit) and Todd McFarland (Channel Islands), are built using Marko Foam’s 100% recyclable iFoam blanks, bio-epoxy resins and sustainably harvested bamboo stringers.

The collection debuted at the Surfer Magazine + Surf Ride Camp Shred February 24th and 25th at San Elijo Campgrounds in Cardiff, CA where they piqued a lot of interest. Every demo logged countless hours in the water with curious consumers eager to try out the soft tops with their unique performance edge.

With names inspired by Hawaiian plate lunch classics, the collection features 4 unique shapes ranging in lengths of five feet to nine feet and with a variety of Futures fin box set-ups so riders can experiment with different fin sizes and foils, or simply drop in a favorite set from their own quivers.

“I can’t think of anything more fun and inventive than creating high-design, hybrid softboards.” stated Jason Koons of INT. “It’s precisely in the spirit of surfing. The collection is something entirely unique to the market and I am really proud of how we’re accomplishing this right here in Carlsbad with the best materials and with the best motive—to deliver more fun. No compromise necessary.”

“This is something we’ve all been waiting for.” added INT ambassador Josh Kerr. “The crew at INT took an innovative approach in pairing their hybrid construction with some really great designs from Jason and Todd. These boards deliver even more fun through a level of performance you’d never expect from a soft surfboard.”

The full collection, ranging in price from $499-$699, is available online at intsoftboards.com and at select US retailers coast to coast.
