This October, KASSIA+SURF (K+S) is donating a percentage of all things pink on the K+S website to the global cancer prevention non-profit organization The Keep A Breast Foundation (KAB) for two weeks, kicking off on Wednesday, October 19th.
All items on the site that are the color pink will be included in the Pink Salt Initiative — wetsuits, accessories, and lifestyle gear. Mermaids will have plenty of pink options, including K+S signature pieces:

Additionally, KASSIA+SURF will be donating a special surf session to a breast cancer survivor. This will include a K+S wetsuit and a one-on-one surf session with designer and pro-longboarder Kassia Meador here in Los Angeles, California (home to both KAB and K+S). The selected winner does not need to be an expert surfer, just be game to spend time in the ocean. To nominate a special breast cancer survivor please tag them and @keepabreast in one of the designated Instagram posts launching on the @kassiasurf feed. And yes, survivors can nominate themselves!
“Let’s share some saltwater space, reset on a cellular level – mind, body and spirit – through the healing of surfing movement and saltwater,” explains Kassia Meador, founder of K+S, whose mother is a cancer survivor.
This is just the latest contribution Meador has made to the charity, with whom a long-standing relationship stretches back 13 years. “Kassia embodies balance, being connected to the elements and her body, both as an athlete and as a woman,” says Shaney jo Darden, founder of KAB. “That’s what Keep A Breast and our new Fit 4 Prevention program [fit4prevention.com] is all about – sharing information in ways that connect with young people, inspiring them to reduce their risk of cancers by adopting a healthier, more active lifestyle.”
The breast cancer survivor winner will be chosen at random. No travel budget applies (but road trips are always encouraged).
