Kevin Duffel is joining Monster Children as General Manager of the company’s US operations.
Formerly Creative Director at Shaun White Enterprises, as well as Editor in Chief at The Berrics and Editor of Transworld Skateboarding, Kevin will be responsible for guiding the growth of the company’s US business across its publishing and creative agency operations.
After launching in Sydney, Australia, in 2003, Monster Children commenced operations in the USA in 2010 and has expanded from a quarterly magazine into a cultural media house with various publishing platforms, a film production business, curator channels on Apple Music and Virgin America, a growing creative agency business with clients including Adidas Skateboarding, Corona and Levis and a creative event space set to open in LA in early 2018.
“We’re really excited to welcome Kevin to the Monster Children team, he is widely respected in the industry and has a great deal of experience to share with us,” said Rachel Blackley, Monster Children’s CEO. “Importantly he brings both commercial and creative capabilities to the role and we’re looking forward to growing all aspects of our US-based business with him.”
“The opportunities for Monster Children in this market are huge and I’m really looking forward to joining such a culturally dynamic organisation” said Kevin Duffel. “I’ll be focussing on building Monster Children’s publishing and distribution platforms, along with forging new new brand partnerships and creative opportunities.”
Kevin commenced in the role of General Manager, Monster Children USA, on January 15.
