This past weekend, The Montauk Beach House was taken over by Non Toxic Revolution (NTR)—an integral component of The Keep A Breast Foundation’s mission to inform, educate and inspire young people to revolt against toxic chemicals in their environment and food supply as a deterrent to breast cancer and other related diseases. On Saturday, guests joined hosts Mikey and Lisa DeTemple, Danny Dimauro, Leif Engstrom, Kumi Sawyers, Dr. Lila Wolfe and Shaney jo Darden for an exhibition of original street art by Studio Number One, Shepard Fairey and 6 Street artists from Berlin with tunes by DJ Jack Luber.
“We were thrilled to host Non Toxic Revolution and to raise awareness for such an important cause,” said Walt Lindveld, Creative Director at The Montauk Beach House. “It’s a worldwide topic that has a lot of relevance locally—it’s important for us to find ways to collaborate on causes that matter in the community.I love NTR’s unique approach of using art and engaging user-activities that spark interest and start dialogues. “
On Sunday, guests chilled out by the water to get beautified with DIY skincare products by Aura Cacia, dye custom tees with Live in Color and shop shades from The SunStruck and Spy Optic poolside, all to raise awareness for NTR’s breast-cancer prevention mission to maintain long-term health and well-being. Speciality cocktails and non toxic refreshments for both events were provided by Montauk Juice Factory, Klean Kanteen, Simply Straws and Luca Jackson.
“It’s amazing to be able to connect face-to-face with our audience through events like these,” said Shaney jo Darden, Founder of Non Toxic Revolution and The Keep A Breast Foundation. “Our goal is not only to provide information, but to give people the tools they need to make smart changes in their lives.”
