On Tuesday 30th May, Surf Lakes went public with former Surfing World Champion Mark “Occy” Occhilupo’s involvement in the Company. We also confirmed that construction had already started in the first full scale venue in QLD, which will be Australia’s first surf park.
ABOUT OCCY:
Occy has joined Surf Lakes as Surf Industry Advisor. The former ASP World Champion and Pipe Master has over 40 years of surfing and industry experience. He is assisting with media representation and input into wave design for our demonstration site that is under construction in QLD. Occy is also designing “Occy’s Peak”, a barrelling left hander that will be incorporated into the Surf Lake that is under construction in QLD.

CONSTRUCTION HAS STARTED:
We have commenced construction of the first full sized Surf Lake at a secret location in QLD. This will initially be a demonstration site and will be capable of producing surfable waves of up to 2.4m in face height. This will allow us to prove up the technology and demonstrate it to potential licensees, partners, media and the surfing industry. Then we can commence selling licences to territories around the world, which will make us cash flow positive.
