Reef Continues Altruism with Reef We Heart Program in Oinofyta Refugee Camp in Greece

The program is designed to help those in need where Reef and its global ambassadors travel and surf.

Reef, the global surf lifestyle leader, continues its humanitarian outreach known as We Heart, an altruistic program to mesh with the travel ethos of Just Passing Through.

The program is humanitarian in nature, designed to help those in need where Reef and its global ambassadors travel and surf, from our own coastal communities to those in the developing world. The community support is three-pronged, initiated to promote education, support community development, and preserve the natural environment.

This summer, Reef We Heart and Reef Ambassadors Mike Lay, Victoria Vergara, and Anna Ehrgott made a trip to Greece and helped Armando Aid create and fund education programs, build schools and buy materials for Oinofyta Refugee Camp. Through education and routine it may be possible to give a little hope to an entire generation of young Syrian, Afghani and other Middle Eastern children, a future to aim for and dreams to dream. The $10,000 donation from Reef will finish the school building project as well as fund a school for the Ritsona Refugee Camp. Watch the video here.

Reef will continue to share We Heart efforts on https://www.reef.com/we-heart.html and engage followers through social media and inspire a #ReefWeHeart conversation with communities all over the world that share in Reef’s vision.
