It’s time to take over the Southern California coast for B4BC’s 10th Annual Skate the Coast event!
You’re invited to join us for this 19-mile longboard-a-thon that promotes an active lifestyle while raising awareness and funds for Boarding For Breast Cancer’s education, prevention and survivorship programs. Come out and longboard, bike, blade, or rollerskate with us on September 30, 2017!
We’ll be kicking off the event with a registration party at Arbor Venice on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5-9 PM with live music by Tunnel Vision, live painting, silent auction, a huge raffle and more! Join us and those attending the skate along with B4BC athletes, friends, and industry partners.
The skate will take place the following day on Saturday, September 30 at 8 AM. The skate runs from Santa Monica pier to Redondo Beach. Immediately following the skate will be an award ceremony and celebration at the finish line Dive N Surf Redondo Beach.
This unique event, which runs along an 19-mile coastline route from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach, CA, with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop, is a part of B4BC’s summer long Skate Series, that also includes the 13th Annual Skate the Lake along a 28-mile portion of the beautiful and serene Lake Tahoe. The series attracts skaters young and old and of all abilities to push for the cause!
Please help us reach our goal of raising $30,000 for B4BC’s outreach and prevention programs.
Participation Fee: Fundraise a minimum of $50 to participate in the skate – includes sponsor goodie bag, event t-shirt and raffle tickets. The top three fundraisers will be recognized and awarded prize packs from partners including GoPro, Skullcandy, Arbor, Von Zipper, Nixon and more. Please note: All participants are required to sign waivers. If you are under 18, you must have signatures from a parent or legal guardian and wear a helmet.
