San Diego based retailer Sun Diego Boardshops is proud to announce the Finale of the Sun Diego x Vans AM SLAM Surf and Skate series is coming to Belmont Park in Mission Beach, Saturday September 30th. The final AM SLAM contest is the single largest surf and skate event in San Diego, and one that you won’t want to miss. Put on with Vans, the fourth and final event of the series will be a huge festival featuring world class surfing, skating and music. The competitors of the last stop will accumulate double points to add to their overall standings from the prior three events. The overall series winner of the Pro-Am divisions will receive an additional $500 cash bonus!
The Sun Diego AM SLAM contest series is celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary, and they’re combining both the surf and skate finals on one day to create a huge festival. All of the industries top brands including Vans, Captain Fin, Creature, Santa Cruz, Brixton, Nixon, Salty Crew, Billabong, Reef, Lost, Vissla, Quiksilver, Roark, RVCA and 30+ other brands will be there to support the contestants, sell some of their best product and certainly stoke out the crowds with some giveaways!
The event is open to anyone who wishes to compete and registration can be done online at Sundiego.com. The surf contest will start the day off at 7:00 am, with the skating kicking off shortly after at 10:00 am. The vendor tent city will open up at 11:00 am with surprise musical guests playing throughout the day. Everyone is encouraged to come down to Belmont Park in Mission Beach and witness world class surfing and skateboarding right here in your own backyard!
