Before the hustle and bustle begins on Black Friday, over 500 T&C Surf employees, guests and longtime friends took part in celebrating the coming Christmas season at The Rebublik night club.

Surf Legends and original T&C team riders, Buffalo Keaulana, with his granddaughter Ha’a (ambassador to T&C Surf), Earl Dahlin and Allen Wicklund were in attendance. Current team riders Billy Kemper, Kekoa Balcaso and Alessa Quizon along with other surf, skate and bodyboard team riders celebrated the evening.

Also dropping in were industry executives like Vinny Delepena from Vissla, E.G. and Marcus Valdiva from Sector 9, and Chuck Elliot from Reef. Famous water photographer Zak Noyle and surfers CJ Hobgood and Jason Shibata also showed up to take part in the festivities.

T&C’s vendors generously donated door prizes for all who attended. Everyone got stoked with tees, hats, socks, watches, headphones, flasks, backpacks, footwear and more. Grand prizes included a T&C Surfboard, Dakine roller bags, Go Pro Camera, and a RVCA backpack stuffed with $1,100 of prizes including a Zak Noyle metal print.

A spread of ono local style food catered by Tanioka’s and Ya Tai Sushi chefs hand crafting spicy tuna and crab rolls and assorted fresh sushi fed the crowd. The bar was also flowing all evening.

To build team spirit, each store participated in a lip sync challenge. T&C’s Ala Moana staff took the crown with an electrifying Back Street Boys performance. Capping off the evening was a performance by an island reggae band “The Vitals,” who entertained the audience with original and cover songs. Local reggae artist JAH Maoli was in the house and joined them on stage for a surprise number. The party was the buzz of the town.

The food drive was also a success collecting hundreds of pounds of canned goods for the Hawaii Food Bank.

Wishing the entire T&C Surf staff a mele kalikimaka and a hauoli makahiki hou.
