The Buckle Comps Fall Less in June

The Buckle's sales trends improve compared to recent trends.

KEARNEY, NE — The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the 5-week period ended July 1, 2017 decreased 5.8 percent in comparison to comparable store net sales for the 5-week period ended July 2, 2016. Net sales for the 5-week fiscal month ended July 1, 2017 decreased 5.9 percent to $73.6 million compared to net sales of $78.3 million for the prior year 5-week fiscal month ended July 2, 2016.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 22-week period ended July 1, 2017 decreased 10.7 percent from comparable store net sales for the 22-week period ended July 2, 2016. Net sales for the 22-week fiscal period ended July 1, 2017 decreased 10.8 percent to $347.3 million from net sales of $389.2 million for the prior year 22-week fiscal period ended July 2, 2016.
