The Buckle reports tough November

Same store sales fell 7.9% in November, the start of the holiday shopping season.

KEARNEY, Neb.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

The Buckle, Inc. (BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the 4-week period ended November 28, 2015 decreased 7.9 percent from comparable store net sales for the 4-week period ended November 29, 2014.

Net sales for the 4-week fiscal month ended November 28, 2015 decreased 6.8 percent to $96.9 million from net sales of $104.0 million for the prior year 4-week fiscal month ended November 29, 2014.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 43-week period ended November 28, 2015 decreased 3.7 percent from comparable store net sales for the 43-week period ended November 29, 2014.

Net sales for the 43-week fiscal period ended November 28, 2015 decreased 2.1 percent to $884.5 million from net sales of $903.6 million for the prior year 43-week fiscal period ended November 29, 2014.
