The Hundreds Releases Spring 2017 Collection

L.A. lifestyle and stylized workwear remain the backbone of The Hundreds’ approach to apparel design.

The Hundreds is proud to announce the release of the The Hundreds Spring 2017 collection, available February 2, 2017, at The Hundreds’ flagship locations, Online Shop, and select authorized retailers.

L.A. lifestyle and stylized workwear remain the backbone of The Hundreds’ approach to apparel design. For Spring 2017, we experimented with boxy, oversized fits, hybrid/reversible garments, and new fabrications like engineered jacquard knits and reverse sateen.

With a youthful take on sophisticated menswear materials and patterns, our custom H-checkered pattern appears throughout the Spring collection in homage to ‘80s British Ska and the 2 Tone movement, whose black and white checkered pattern symbolizes harmony between blacks and whites. Decades later, the message is just as necessary as our country sits divided between red and blue, and our communities are stricken with violence between the blue and black.

Standout pieces from Spring 2017 continue our Los Angeles lifestyle narrative: Our classic chino “Penn” shorts are made of stretch selvedge twill with a drawstring waistband; the “Generation” crew-neck sweatshirt and “Broke” snap-back cap are both nods to California car culture; our “Franklin” short-sleeve woven made of cotton micro twill is a new take on the classic mechanics shirt and features a zipper front opening. Season highlights with an oversized silihouette: The boxy “Campbell” pullover hooded sweatshirt in cozy sherpa fleece has vintage puff printing along the sleeves, and the “Well” jacket made of lightweight cotton twill is an oversized mac coat with a corduroy collar.

About The Hundreds

The Hundreds is a 2-part project that houses a Classic Californian Streetwear brand and media platform dedicated to Global Street Culture. Founded by Bobby Kim (Bobby Hundreds) and Ben Shenassafar (Ben Hundreds) in 2003, the Los Angeles-based company incorporates their trademark attitude and personal perspective on street subculture, with an emphasis on people over product. The Hundreds clothing encompasses T-shirts, denim, wovens, fleece, headwear, and outerwear. Much of the brand narrative is told through collaborations, with partners like Disney, adidas, and Garfield. Currently, The Hundreds is stocked worldwide, with flagship locations in L.A.’s Fairfax District (est. 2007), San Francisco’s Union Square (est. 2008), and SoHo, New York (est. 2010).
