At just 20 years old, rising star Tia Blanco is making waves in the world of surfing. Swatch is thrilled to welcome her as its newest Proteam member, completing a trifecta of US surfing athletes.
Tia is winning competitions left and right, including an impressive 2nd place at the 2015 ISA World Surfing Junior Games, and back-to-back 1st place honors at the ISA World Surfing Games in 2015 and 2016. A member of Team USA, she hopes to be selected as one of two American female surfers to compete at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where surfing will finally make its debut.
When she isn’t riding the waves, Tia is passionate about her yoga and wholesome living — the vegan athlete is frequently featured in health media as a role model. She can be seen onscreen, making appearances in animal rights documentaries like Cowspiracy and Racing Extinction. The cooking buff loves to unwind in the kitchen with family after a stretching and meditation session.
