In anticipation of a long-awaited summer, Vans releases a refreshing collection of boardshorts featuring Vans’ signature Sturdy Stretch construction tested by surfing’s elite. Engineered with the feedback of Vans’ own surf team, but fit for the average beach lounger, Sturdy Stretch technology utilizes a premium 4-way stretch fabric that provides best-in-class durability, in-water function and all-day comfort.

The summer collection is embodied by two new eye-catching colorways of Vans’ signature styles featuring Sturdy Stretch, designed by surf icons and team riders Nathan Fletcher and Joel Tudor. Nathan Fletcher’s Rising Swell combines Native American-inspired designs and geometric shapes with subtle colors to create a traditional, yet attractive silhouette. Joel Tudor’s timeless aesthetic shines through in the JT Trimline, which showcases a kelp leaf and floral print design across a 19” outseam silhouette showcasing classic Malibu styling.

Offering a wide mix of alternative constructions and fits, Vans is also proud to introduce three new styles to complete the summer boardshort line-up. Joel Tudor expands his design cred by unveiling his latest signature design, the JT San Elijo. Named after one of Tudor’s hometown breaks, the JT San Elijo exudes a vintage vibe with a tailored 18” fit. The Shorey features contrasting hues in a color block, zigzag pattern, while the Mixed Scallop is introduced in a range of colors with shorter hem and quick-drying materials making them perfect for an easy transition from surf to street.
