Vast life is fresh off a whirlwind showing at the Agenda Tradeshow in California. At the multi-day event, the Vast booth provided a much-needed splash of color by showcasing their new Color Block line, complete with a multicolor panel BMW E30 touring parked on their showroom floor. The crowd at the event proved to be so enamored with the booth that Vast was awarded the “best small booth award” at the tradeshow. Vibrant, carefree, and with a passion for both street fashion and surf culture, Vast’s new line is unlike anything else you’ll find in surf.
“As a brand, Vast is doing some really great things that play into both street and car culture as well as surfing’s carefree personality,” says Jun Jo, the company’s creative director. “I don’t think there’s anything else like it. People who were able to connect with us, see our personality, see what we’re all about, came away from this tradeshow with a better understanding of who we are as a brand.”
Based out of Los Angeles but with roots in Hawaii and Taiwan, Vast is marching to the beat of their own drum. Their new Color Block line, which harkens back to the early ’90s street scene, includes signature pieces like a mock turtle neck tee, a field wool hat, and hooded pullover that earned a lot of buzz at the tradeshow. And of course, there was the car.
With this solid momentum built off the show Vast is set to release the first item inspired of the very car that gave them the positive energy. The color block hoodie will be available this Friday February 23rd at both the vastlife.com and the world renown In4mation shops / Online in4mation.co
“It was great seeing people’s reactions on the car and booth build out. At one point we had 4 buyers on the hood and 2 inside car, taking a pic and having a blast,” says Sam Yang, VAST founder. “We tried something different and fun, hoping to show people what we are about, spreading stoke with everything we do. Our way of showcasing our surf culture vibes, and I think it’s working.”
As a fashion-forward surf brand with street culture influence, Vast is showing that in the ever-crowded surf industry, this LA-based company isn’t afraid of adding a little color into the mix. And who doesn’t want a little more color in their life?
