Eastern Mountain Sports Launches Its Fall/Winter 2025 Collection

EMS completes brand re-launch with re-imagined line of winter outdoor and ski apparel.
Published: September 24, 2025 Press Release

Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS), a business unit of UK outdoor company, Mountain Warehouse, and a trusted source for outdoor adventurers of all abilities, is thrilled to announce the launch of its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, a culmination of the brand’s rebirth after being acquired by Mountain Warehouse in late 2024.

EMS started life in the US in 1967 when two friends on a fishing trip decided that camping gear “shouldn’t break the bank and shouldn’t break all the damn time”.  The first store opened in Wellesley, Massachusetts. It grew dramatically over the years by partnering with leading outdoor brands such as The North Face, Smartwool and Oboz, and developing its own-label product range.

“We’re thrilled to relaunch EMS, a brand with such a rich heritage in U.S. outdoor culture,” says Mark Neale, CEO at EMS. “For decades, EMS has equipped adventurers for life outside, and this relaunch is about carrying that tradition forward with a renewed energy, beginning with the launch of our Fall/Winter 2025 collection.”

With the relaunch of the brand customers will see the return of some of EMS’ most iconic collections, like the Fencemender Rebar Pant, Featherpack, and Thunderhead collections, and, in a nod to its birth year, the ‘67 Down Jacket.

Fencemender Rebar Pant ($79.99) – The Fencemender Rebar Pants are built for hard work and long days outside. Reinforced with triple-needle stitching, rivets at key stress points, and articulated construction with darted knees, they are made to move naturally and stand up to serious wear.

Featherpack Jackets (Adults $249.99, Kids $149.99) – Easily packable for hiking and backpacking trips, Featherpack Jackets deliver a combination of a durable yet lightweight water-resistant nylon exterior and warmth-retaining down insulation with Techdown to prevent water absorption and help the jacket dry quicker from the inside out. An 800 power rating and DWR treatment make this an excellent insulating layer underneath an outer shell.

Thunderhead Jackets and Pants ($79.99-$159.99) – Designed for outdoor adventures in the rain, Thunderhead Jacket and Pants feature 10k waterproof and 5k breathable ratings, meaning you’ll stay dry, whether the moisture comes from the elements or perspiration. Ripstop fabric improves durability without sacrificing comfort or space. After the storm ends? Pack the jacket into its zippered pocket for easy storage.

’67 Down Jacket ($299.99) – The ’67 Down Jacket, with Responsible Down Standard sourced fill protects the wearer from cold temps while the water-resistant shell sheds light moisture. Best of all, the ’67 Down Jacket packs into its own sack, making it easy to store in a pack for when the weather gets a little frisky.

“We’re incredibly proud of what our product and design teams have created for this season,” says Lizet Bezuidenhout, Commercial Director at EMS. “This collection honors the legacy of EMS while introducing fresh innovation, so our customers have reliable gear they’ll reach for every season as they take on new adventures.”

In keeping with Neale’s promise to invest heavily in the brand, the EMS product team is already hard at work finalizing the Spring/Summer 2026 line of products that will cater for hikers, climbers, and paddlers, among other outdoor groups. The brand is excited to continue to offer exceptional apparel and accessories to its customer base, while also supporting organizations that work to protect the environment and improve access to the outdoors, like the Mount Washington Observatory, a long-time EMS partner, whose partnership was renewed earlier this year.
