Finisterre is pleased to announce the introduction of regenerative organic cotton into its latest collection. For SS25, over 75% of the t-shirt range will be made using regeneratively farmed organic cotton, marking a major step forward in the brand’s commitment to pioneering the use of lower-impact natural fibres that support thriving ecosystem
Popular styles such as the Men’s Cormorant T-Shirt, the Men’s Harylyn T-Shirt, the Women’s Eldon T-Shirt are now made with regenerative organic cotton.
A Commitment to Regenerative Agriculture
Finisterre has long championed organic cotton, eliminating synthetic chemicals and fertilizers from its supply chain. Now, by introducing regenerative cotton, the brand is taking an even bigger step toward reducing its environmental impact.
Regenerative systems work in harmony with nature, fostering symbiotic relationships between plants, fungi, animals, and microbial life. This approach focuses on giving back more to the soil than is taken, achieved through practices such as crop rotation, cover cropping, and allowing land to recover after harvest—methods that naturally enhance biodiversity.
Transitioning to regenerative methods is a complex but necessary process, and Finisterre is proud to support its partners in scaling these practices. By doing so, they’re not just growing cotton—they’re restoring soil health and strengthening ecosystems.
Why Regenerative Cotton Matters
The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world, with conventional cotton farming contributing to widespread environmental damage—from soil degradation to water scarcity, including the near depletion of the Aral Sea due to excessive irrigation. While organic cotton reduces harm, regenerative cotton takes it further by actively replenishing soil and supporting ecosystem resilience.
A Word from Finisterre
“By transitioning to regenerative cotton, we’re not just making clothes, we’re investing in the future of our planet,” says Adele Gingell, Head of Impact at Finisterre. “We want to educate our customers about why this matters—organic cotton is the baseline, but regenerative is the next step in making truly responsible clothing.”
Join the Movement
As Finisterre continues its journey into regenerative agriculture, the brand invites its community to learn more about the process and be part of the conversation. Stay tuned for updates as we transition more of our collection to regenerative cotton, reducing our impact on the planet while maintaining the quality and design our customers love.
