Finisterre Launches Lived and Loved Repair Program in the U.S.

The brand is partnering with Vermont-based Sandbox.
Published: September 15, 2025 Press Release

Finisterre, the UK-based brand known for its consciously built outerwear and gear, is excited to announce the U.S. launch of its Lived and Loved repair program through a new partnership with Sandbox, a purpose-driven repair workshop based in Vermont. This collaboration marks a pivotal expansion of Finisterre’s efforts to extend the life of its garments and reduce the environmental impact of the apparel industry.

Lived and Loved is more than a repair service—it represents a necessary shift in consumer culture. As awareness grows around the damage caused by fast fashion and disposable products, this program gives customers a way to actively choose repair over replacement. By prolonging the life of gear that’s already been lived in and loved, Finisterre aims to foster more conscious buying behaviors and create a ripple effect in how we value and care for our clothing.

The relationship with Sandbox is built on shared values around sustainability, craftsmanship, and responsibility. With a U.S.-based repair partner, Finisterre can now offer American customers faster turnaround times and reduce the environmental toll of international shipping—further reinforcing its commitment to a low-impact business model. “At Sandbox, we believe in fostering partnerships that align with our core values of sustainability and responsibility,” says Amelia Leme, founder and director, Sandbox. “Collaborating with Finisterre allows us to better serve both of our customers and community while supporting like-minded businesses in reducing their environmental impact, demonstrating that together, we can create a more sustainable future.”

Sandbox is a woman-founded and 1% For The Planet member repair shop based in the mountains of Vermont. Their work is rooted in the belief that repairing clothing is an act of care—one that honors the stories woven into each garment while helping to reduce waste. Known for thoughtful, durable repairs and visible mending, Sandbox brings skill, soul, and sustainability to every stitch.

“As a brand built to endure the elements, we believe the most sustainable product is the one you already own,” says Amy Brock Morgan, Head of Lived and Loved Repairs, Finisterre. “Through Lived and Loved, we’re helping customers keep their gear going strong—and with Sandbox as our partner, we’re bringing that ethos stateside in a way that’s both impactful and inspiring.”

The program will be available for US customers beginning September 15, 2025.
