Finisterre is proud to announce the launch of its collaboration with XTRATUF, the iconic US footwear brand known for hard-wearing, performance-driven boots built for Alaska’s harshest conditions. Launching on March 3rd, the collection blends rugged heritage with modern design sensibilities.
Founded over 75 years ago to serve the people who live and work in Alaska, XTRATUF has long been a trusted essential keeping generations safe, dry, and moving forward, one sure step at a time. Built to endure the region’s unpredictable climate, XTRATUF has grown into a symbol of reliability for workers, adventurers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
A. Todd, Head of Design at Finisterre said, “Sometimes you don’t have to look too far to find the perfect collaborator. In this instance, it was as simple as looking at our own feet. Accompanying us on our surf checks, beach cleans, rock-pooling adventures, and every sudden downpour, it was XTRATUF who felt like a natural partner for Finisterre. Having tried and tested their products in our daily lives, we’ve now worked together to introduce new and innovative materials into the same trusted quality XTRATUF is known for – a true meeting of minds.”
Mike Roundhouse, Vice President and General Manager of XTRATUF, adds, “This collaboration between XTRATUF and Finisterre celebrates a shared respect for the ocean and those who work, play, and live by it. Merging heritage craftsmanship with forward-thinking sustainability, we are excited to be working alongside Finisterre, a brand we admire for its dedication to innovation and environmental responsibility.”
Together, the brands have created an elevated version of XTRATUF’s classic ‘Ankle Deck Boot’. The Finisterre + XTRATUF ADB is a unisex design available in sizes US5-US13 and in two colourways: black and woodsmoke, combining XTRATUF’s rugged authenticity with Finisterre’s refined design sensibility.
