Hari Mari, the premium footwear brand known for infusing color & comfort into its distinctive footwear lines, is proud to announce that it will be donating 400 pairs of sandals to two Texas-based hospitals, to thank the brave men and women fighting on our frontlines during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Pairs are being donated to two accredited Texas medical centers: Dallas’ UT Southwestern Medical Center and Houston’s TIRR Memorial Hermann Center, both of which are located in cities with the largest number of reported COVID-19 cases in the state.
In addition to donating pairs to nearby hospitals, Hari Mari has launched their ‘Nominate a Nurse’ program in an attempt to spread the wealth and send free pairs of flip flops to inspiring healthcare workers across the country.
From Hari Mari’s conception in 2012, the brand has valued philanthropic action in their business model. It’s called Flops Fighting Cancer Initiative and the brand donates 1% of all sales to help pay off medical bills and treatment costs for families battling pediatric cancer diagnoses.
“Giving back is a core part of Hari Mari’s mission, so partnering with these incredible hospitals in this time of need just seemed organic for us,” said Flops Fighting Cancer Director, Hannah Sumers. “We’re more grateful than ever for each person working to keep our country moving forward during these times of uncertainty!”

ABOUT HARI MARI
Hari Mari was founded in 2012 by Jeremy & Lila Stewart. The beginnings of the brand were born out of the Stewart’s time spent in Indonesia, where each worked on projects related to improving kids’ lives: Jeremy, making a documentary film on helping kids suffering from hunger & malnutrition in Southeast Asia; Lila, working with the American Women’s Association, volunteering for orphanages in and outside of Jakarta.
