HUF Partners With Hajime Sorayama

HUF taps Sorayama for a Japanese ‘Superrealism’ collaboration.
Published: August 1, 2018 Press Release

Hajime Sorayama is a Japanese artist recognized worldwide for his sexually charged female robot illustrations. A pioneer of the highly rendered airbrush aesthetic, Sorayama’s provocative work merges retro pinup girl sensuality with futuristic biomechatronic fantasy. This hybridization results insuperreal fembot-erotica of which Sorayama is considered the founding father. A cult classic of the genre since the 70s, Sorayama and his chrome-clad women have been featured in numerous publications, international exhibitions, and artistic partnerships, inspiring generations to redefine social norms and disrupt cultural conventions.

This Fall 2018, HUF proudly features the art of Sorayama on a capsule collection consisting of s/s & l/s tees, pullover hoodies, and an anorak jacket, featuring original work by the artist as an extension of the Japanese inspired season. Partnership done in collaboration with Artestar, which represents high-profile artists, photographers, designers, and creatives. The collaboration ranges from $34-$74 and is available now at all HUF flagships stores, HUF online, and HUF retailers worldwide.
