HUF taps contemporary Japanese fashion label and boutique United Arrows & Sons once again for a collaborative capsule collection: DOWNHILL 2.
Spearheaded by United Arrows & Sons-creative director Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi, the limited-edition range of apparel and accessories draws inspiration from British ‘Mod’ subculture and the unique style of legendary skateboarder Matt Hensley, who can be seen modeling the collection alongside HUF-founder Keith Hufnagel and HUF team rider Justin Drysen.
Key pieces include a military-inspired MA-1 Jacket and retro M-65 fishtail Mod Coat, both of which incorporate the Downhill Bar Towel along the left arm panel as a nod to Mods who wrapped towels around their sleeves in the 60’s and 70’s. Other highlights include the Splash Long Sleeve Button Up and Bucket Hat featuring a multi-colored paint splatter motif and the Accordion Long Sleeve Tee, a nod to Matt Hensley’s current position as accordionist for the renowned Celtic punk band Flogging Molly.
The HUF x United Arrows & Sons collection is set to release January 16th exclusively at HUF and United Arrows & Son’s flagship and online stores.
