The plan is for Sneed to consult and eventually design her own collection in 2023.

JOLYN, the swimwear brand built to give women the confidence to take on any sport or adventure, today announces that body positive surfer Elizabeth Sneed (known as Curvy Surfer Girl) has joined their design team. The partnership, which began with Sneed joining Tia Blanco as an ambassador for the brand’s inaugural surf collection earlier this year, includes Sneed fit testing the JOLYN Surf collection, consulting on design and the needs of what she calls the “Curvy Surfer Girl movement,” and eventually designing her own collection in 2023.

With the partnership, JOLYN today announces select styles from the Summer JOLYN Surf collection will be available in XS – 3X, with plans for further size expansion by the following season. “JOLYN’s mission has always been to support women of all backgrounds, sizes, and abilities. I am thrilled that, with Elizabeth’s help, we can truly live up to that mission by offering a more expansive range for surfers and athletes. We applaud Elizabeth for her work to help change the perception about surfer body types,” said JOLYN CEO Mondy Herndon.

Right on time for summer adventures, the Summer 2022 JOLYN Surf collection utilizes Sea-Flex fabric consisting of recycled fibers (recycled fishing nets and other discarded nylon). The UPF 50+ suits, surf-tested to ensure a no-slip fit, range from $36 to $88. The Summer 2022 JOLYN Surf collection includes a variety of bikini tops, five bikini bottoms that range in coverage, a one-piece, and a surfsuit. The color palette includes bright solid colors reminiscent of 1970s retro, a floral print, and classic black or white.

“I’m so stoked to join the JOLYN design team and to continue my role as Ambassador for JOLYN Surf.  The JOLYN Tomcat Bikini top was one of the first tops I ever wore surfing. Years later, I’m thrilled to be by their side ushering in a new generation of women’s surfing. Collaborating with their team of design experts to create more inclusive high-performance swim is a dream come true not just for me but for the countless women who love the water and need supportive suits to follow their passions,” said Sneed.

Other JOLYN Surf ambassadors include professional surfers world-ranked Courtney Conlogue, Tia Blanco, Maila Ward, and Juli Hernandez. JOLYN athlete endorsements include two-time Gold Medalist and Forbes 30 under 30‘s Ashleigh Johnson, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist and FINA award winner Maggie Steffens, Gold Medalist and three-time NCAA Champion Oliva Smoliga, five-time Paralympic medalist and ESPY award winner Mallory Weggemann, and Influencer and Paralympian Haven Shepherd, among others. The brand also works with over 25 collegiate athletes across seven disciplines.
