Media Showroom at Outdoor Market Alliance Set for 8th Successive Event

Hub for outdoor business in Colorado celebrates fourth year of being a venue for more than 1,500 media-brand meetings.
Published: January 27, 2026 Press Release

Across two days, Feb. 25 and 26, Outdoor Market Alliance (OMA), a hub for business in the outdoor industry located just west of Denver, will host its eighth successive OMA Media Show. The event offers an efficient, collaborative and social opportunity for national media who cover the outdoor industry to learn what’s new from a wide range of leading outdoor industry brands.

Based on current registration, the upcoming Feb. 25-26 OMA Media Show will provide a venue for over 1,500 appointments between media and public-relations representatives for brands. More than 50 brands will attend, and the event currently has 60-plus media guests registered.

Media registration is ongoing and remains open until Feb. 23.

Now in its fourth year with two events each year, one in February and one in July, the OMA Media Show fills a void for outdoor media to connect one-on-one with outdoor brands. That follows a large–scale downturn in attendance at national outdoor trade shows post 2020, which were the historical venue for media-brand interactions before that. The OMA Media Show has seen steady growth since its inception.

“Attending OMA gives me a rare opportunity to connect face-to-face with so many of the outdoor industry’s upcoming and established brands. I always look forward to learning about the latest gear, technology, and industry trends in such an intimate setting,” ” said Cam Vigliotta, Forbes. “And it doesn’t hurt that attendees are engaging and knowledgeable — they give me a good excuse to return every year.”

Outdoor Market Alliance was founded as a non-profit, cooperative work space by  25 independent sales and marketing agencies representing nearly 200 brands in the outdoor and active-lifestyle markets. The 32,000-square-foot space just west of downtown Denver resulted from the need to make the line-review and ordering process for retailers simpler by providing a place where buyers could come and see a large group of brands over a short span of time.

The same needs of buyers also extend to media. Thus, the Outdoor Market Alliance team saw an opportunity to create a media event leaning into the convenience of so many brands being located in one place in a central part of the country, said Steve Copeland, President of Outdoor Market Alliance and principal of Granite Marketing, one of the agencies located in the space.

“The OMA Media Showroom is an outgrowth of our commitment both to supporting the brands we represent and to supporting the broader Outdoor Industry around a clearly defined need that builds on our efforts to be a hub for industry business,” Copeland said. “In a world increasingly filled with digital noise, this event provides a place for face-to-face interaction and product-in-hand meetings that help create and sustain working relationships.”

Since the first show in 2022, more than 180 brands and 30 public relations agencies have leveraged the OMA Media Show as a place to connect with media focused on products in the outdoor, travel, and active lifestyle spaces.

Outdoor Market Alliance also has a give-back component, raising money to support outdoor-focused non-profits. In 2025, it donated $25,000 to two non-profits, SheJumps and the Continental Divide Trail Alliance, funds raised in part through the OMA Media Event.

Outdoor Market Alliance is located at 11111 West 6th Avenue in Lakewood, Colo. To learn more, please visit www.outdoormarketalliance.org.
