California born and raised muralist Skye Walker draws his inspiration from home and all the natural wonder that the Golden State encompasses. A native of the San Gorgonio and Big Bear Mountains, Skye has been fueled by the awe-inspiring landscapes and nature that surrounds Southern California…
“For my second hat collaboration with melin I really wanted to tie in my own history in California. The front patch I designed emulates two peaks directly related to Big Bear, where I was born, and San Gorgonio which is right next to Big Bear. The wave is a metaphor for the incredible coastlines of California.”
Skye’s personal patch, and the interior lining are both very personal creations. The patch is a symbol of the idyllic peaks and world-famous California coastline and the interior lining is a uniquely melin piece of artwork that Skye designed specifically for the melin Family. Ten lucky winners will be gifted a print of the original piece Skye hand-painted for this melin collab.

The Skye Walker Limited Edition Odyssey Summit HYDRO arrives at $79 and is available in three sizes. This is a slightly taller-looking fit yet wears a bit shallower with a modified point on the front panels. Inspired by the trucker hats we grew up on the front panel is crafted by creating a partial seam that stops high on the crown to give a touch of fashion to a classic casual trucker look.
