Nixon Collaborates With Metallica

Nixon is thrilled to announce a collaboration with one of the original sideways thinkers: iconic rock band, Metallica. The hard-core collection, which includes eight watches plus one Limited Edition, was born of long-shared mutual respect for upstarts who buck the system and wind up changing it for good.

The Legacy Plays On

Formed in 1981 in the deepest underground, Metallica has become one of the biggest and most influential acts in musical history, having sold nearly 120 million albums worldwide while playing to millions of fans on all seven continents. Their multi-platinum discography includes 1991’s “Metallica” (commonly referred to as The Black Album), with sales of over 35 million copies globally (17 million in the U.S. alone). Their latest album, “Hardwired…to Self-Destruct,” released on November 18, 2016 on their own Blackened Recordings label, charted at #1 in 32 countries.

Metallica has also garnered numerous awards and accolades, including nine Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, multiple MTV Video Music Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. In June of 2018, the band were awarded one of the most prestigious musical honors in the world: Sweden’s Polar Music Prize.

The band recently wrapped up the European leg of their WorldWired tour and are currently playing shows across North America.

Nixon x Metallica will be available as of November 5 both in stores and online at Nixon.com and is available now for preorder at https://www.metallica.com. The collection includes eight hard rocking models, plus a special limited edition.
