OluKai will debut the second season of its original film series We Go: Path to The Eddie at Surf Expo, offering an intimate look at the athletes chasing an invitation to surfing’s most revered event.
WHAT:
OluKai will premiere We Go: Path to The Eddie — Season 2 at Surf Expo, an intimate look into the lives of four extraordinary watermen and waterwomen as they prepare physically, mentally, and spiritually for big wave season on the North Shore of Oʻahu. Their shared hope: to earn a coveted invitation to the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational, the most revered surf contest in the world.
Held only when waves at Waimea Bay reach a sustained 40 feet or higher, The Eddie is unlike any other sporting event. Guided by the saying “The Bay Calls the Day,” the contest runs only when conditions allow, resulting in just 11 times in its 39-year history. An invitation is considered one of surfing’s highest honors, allowing athletes to carry forward Eddie Aikau’s legacy of courage, service, and aloha.
Season 2 of We Go follows four athletes on their path:
● Landon McNamara – Big wave surfer, musician, and reigning Eddie champion
● Kaiwi Berry – North Shore legend admired for his quiet strength and uncompromising approach to surfing
● Joey Cadiz – Lifeguard, community leader, and last year’s Eddie alternate
● Annie Reickert – Rising star in big wave surfing, accomplished waterwoman recently foil surfed across the Kaiwi Channel
WHO:
