Thermal changes in the water, wind direction, waves and the ocean are all areas that Orca has mastered in its more than 25 years of experience in the wetsuit industry and used as a basis to create Tango, its new high-performance surfing wetsuit.
The brand’s experience and knowledge rely on the fact that all its products are created from a scientific basis, but also respond to the real needs of professional and amateur athletes practicing many aquatic sports disciplines. Their wetsuits are composed of several panels that can be combined in different ways depending on what the athlete needs.
Orca carries out all kinds of tests in the water to draw conclusions in real time and subsequently apply them in the Orca Lab. Their large team of experts and, above all, ocean enthusiasts, work together throughout all phases of research to ensure the success of the final result, a scientifically proven result.
The surfing range is made entirely of high-quality material supplied by Yamamoto Corporation, a Japanese company specializing in naturally derived neoprene, manufactured from limestone rock. This new line of wetsuits has two different variations:
- Tango 3:2; highly flexible and thermally insulated thanks to its GBS sealed seams, offering high durability and resistance. Its materials ensure a perfect fit, preventing water from entering and forming water pockets.
- Tango 4:3; providing the highest level of thermal insulation, thanks to its Thermal X lining. DS40+ technology provides maximum elasticity and comfort, making the suit easy to put on and take off.
Research into new high-quality products for water sports requires a lot of effort and time, not only because researchers are looking for an optimal result, but also because Orca has committed to considering the environmental consequences of their efficiency process.
For Orca, it is essential that we all join forces to reduce our carbon footprint. That is why they are making more sustainable decisions in their production processes, such as eliminating single-use plastics in product packaging.
The international brand specializing in high-performance wetsuits has managed to improve its entire product line, which has been worn by athletes such as world champion Sebastian Kienle and Olympic bronze medalist Hayden Wilde.
With the slogan “Welcome to the (r)evolution,” they entered a new era with major goals in mind such as the optimization of technologies. To quote the brand’s official Twitter account, “It is not always about training hard. Sometimes it is about finding yourself in the moment.”
“Surfing is one of the most widely enjoyed water sports and Orca, as a company specializing in wetsuits, could not wait to enter this market. Tango is a reflection of the ability of our products to evolve, through which we achieve better results,” concludes Arrate Vidarte, Orca’s Marketing Manager.
