Raghouse Apparel, Inc., was acquired by Gary Crane in January 2024. Raghouse is the worldwide Licensee for Original Senor Lopez- the brand launched by Joseph Lloyd Lopez in 1972.
Crane’s history with the brand
Gary had been the CFO for both Senor Lopez and Shouthouse Apparel, an industry private label supplier. “I was on operations and finance side of Senor Lopez for the past three years. I felt there wasn’t a focused effort on the brand, and offered to acquire the business from the owners. I made a trip to Mexico to meet with the suppliers and spent a good amount of time with the brand Licensor, Joe Lopez. Everything clicked, and we closed on the business at the start of the year.
Elevating the Brand
I’ve spent the past five months, talking with retailers, making sure our production meets their demands and developing support tools to improve sell-through. I’ve utilized some amazing industry talent to meet these goals. It’s a focused product line, made from 100% recycled threads- predominantly from scrap production t-shirts. Our Baja Hoodie and Baja Blankets are awesome products and well known for so many years! Joe Lopez launched in the surf industry, and I’m focused to make sure we continue to focus on core surf. I’ve connected with strong reps around the country with commitment to developing out the product line and providing first class products and service to our customers.
