After 2 years in development, Outerknown introduces the APEX Trunk: Kelly Slater’s signature performance trunk designed and tested by Kelly himself.
Sustainably engineered for absolute performance, the APEX trunk is produced with 86% recycled polyester, a raw material created by taking plastic bottles and transforming them into a premium polyester fiber. The PFOA-free, durable, water-repellent swim trunk also includes 4-way stretch, built for minimal water absorption and maximum mobility. While most water-repellant coatings contain chemicals that are harmful to the ocean, APEX stays light and dry with an environmentally-friendly fluorine-free water repellant.
Additional performance attributes include bonded, stitch-free seams for reduced chafing, and laser-cut details at the side seam and back pocket, which offer weightless drainage and ventilation. The packable trunk’s welded back pocket also features an Aquaguard™ zipper and internal bungee key loop.
