After a very well-received launch of Pacsun’s first-ever resell initiative PS Reserve in July, the retailer announced today that it will be releasing a second drop today, October 28th. The new drop will feature highly coveted footwear and apparel styles, in limited quantities, across partnered brands like Nike, Jordan and Adidas.
“We knew our customer would be drawn to PS Reserve considering they really gravitate towards footwear, and it was incredible to see their response to the initial launch,” said Richard Cox, VP of Men’s Merchandising at Pacsun. “The first drop sold out in the first 24 hours, and we are excited to present even more styles, like Dunks, Jordan 1’s and Yeezys, along with a complement of apparel, for the second drop.”
This PS Reserve launch will be the first time that Pacsun will have PS Reserve inventory available in-store, exclusively at their Soho Flagship in NYC and at the Cerritos, CA location, with dedicated signage and build outs to supplement the online offering. There will also be a livestream event at the Cerritos, CA store today at 9AM PT/ 12PM ET, hosted by Michael “Miki” Guerra, founder and owner of The Magnolia Park. During the live stream, Guerra will preview and discuss certain styles that customers will be able to purchase directly online.
“Miki has been instrumental in the success of PS Reserve as he continues to support the program and aid us through the resell process,” said Alfred Chang, Co-CEO at Pacsun. “Being a veteran in the retail and resell space, we have learned so much from him and look forward to having him co-host our live stream event, bringing his expertise and knowledge to our consumers.”
With the resell market expanding, and Gen Z focusing more on secondhand, the development of PS Reserve comes at the prime time, kicking off Pacsun’s holiday season and holiday efforts. Having unique inventory available at each individual store and online, Pacsun is the one-stop-shop for consumers to access authentic styles from favored brands for themselves and as gifts for others.
PS Reserve will be available for a limited time in-store at the Soho and Cerritos retail locations and will continue to be offered on Pacsun.com/ps-reserve/.
