PUMA Hires New SVP, Wholesale

John Miller will lead both the sales and merchandising functions for the wholesale division of North America.

Fresh off the announcement of their historic first quarter, PUMA has announced John Miller as the new Senior Vice President, Wholesale for PUMA North America. John will lead both the Sales and Merchandising functions for the Wholesale division of North America where he will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance across all elements of the Wholesale organization in order to drive profitable growth, build brand equity and enhance customer satisfaction.

John comes to PUMA with strong experience across various sportswear brands, distribution channels, and a go-to market mix of product merchandising and sales. He started his career at Reebok where he held various Sales positions across territories and key accounts before moving onto urban startup, Dada, where he managed all Footwear Sales across the U.S. From there John went to adidas where he managed various aspects of Sales across footwear, apparel and accessories, eventually leading the brands efforts in the important Mall Specialty channel of distribution. Moving from Dallas to Chicago and eventually Beaverton, John then worked for Nike for 11 years.

In his last role as Senior Director of Sporting Goods, John was responsible for $1.3B in revenue, developed strategic business plans and drove significant growth within the broader brand strategy. John’s experience there also includes Category Sales Director for Young Athletes and driving strategic account sales for Department Stores. In all of his positions, John has managed both footwear and apparel, while working closely with Product Creation, Merchandising and Marketing, to execute effective and successful strategies resulting in impressive sales growth. John is joining PUMA most recently from G-FORM, a sports protection brand, where he held the title of Senior Vice President/General Manager Sales & Marketing for the past 1.5 years.
