Quiksilver is pleased to announce its partnership with West Coast Board Riders and U.S. Board Riders Clubs for the second half of the 2021-22 season. West Coast Board Riders is welcoming iconic surf brand Quiksilver as a new partner and co-presenter of multiple Board Riders Championships this year. Both brands are well aligned on the mission to protect our oceans for years to come and embrace the next generation of surfers, making this the perfect partnership. Quiksilver is joining West Coast Board Riders to sponsor the Wheat Cup Qualifier, the Wheat Cup Championship and the first-ever U.S. Board Riders National Championship. The events will take place April 21–23, 2022, at Lower Trestles in San Clemente, California. More details are listed below.
Thursday, April 21: 2022 WCBR WHEAT CUP Qualifier presented by Sport of Kings x Quiksilver. Those who qualify will continue on to the championship the next day.
Friday, April 22: 2022 WCBR WHEAT CUP Championship presented by Sport of Kings x Quiksilver. The top two clubs from the Wheat Cup will advance to the National Championship the following day.
Saturday, April 23: 2022 Quiksilver and A New Earth Project Present the U.S. Board Riders National Championship. The event features the top two clubs from the Wheat Cup as well as the top two clubs from the Florida Board Riders Cup and South Jersey Board Riders season.
With Quiksilver as one of the original surf brands and West Coast Board Riders quickly gaining recognition since being founded in 2016, Quiksilver’s rich surf history complements the new local movement from West Coast Board Riders, inspiring momentum for the future of the surf industry.
