Roark’s Vol. 14 Kingston Deadbeats Road Tour is hitting the streets. The “mobile sound- system” and surplus camping will be the main vessels, hosting at partnered retail destinations along the way.
The Roark team will set up camp to engage with both consumers and retail associates through our experiences during travels to Jamaica. The team will be serving some of the finest Jerk Chicken to the sounds of turntables cranking roots reggae, with exclusive promotional products being handed out at each retail destination. Select locations will also get visits from Roark’s Revivalists including Jamie Thomas, Parker Coffin, Ivah Wilmot, and Dylan Gordon to name a few.
“We’re excited to get out there on the road to support our retailers with the Van. Our trip to Jamaica was super rich with culture, so we wanted to share the vibe and stories with our mobile sound-system.” adds Founder & CEO Ryan Hitzel. “I’ll be DJ’ing reggae along with ambassadors and local selectas – we’ll be cooking up jerk chicken for shoppers. The positivity is so strong in Jamaica, it felt like a perfect opportunity to bring it home.”
With an emphasis on education and service, the crew’s surplus tent at each location will house merchandised apparel and a photo slideshow from the Jamaican travels to communicate the brands desire to inspire travel, but also how the culture and climate experienced then translate to each seasonal assortment.

About Roark
The chase for Roark Began out of desire to tell stories born of adventure and discovery in the form of a man – he’s the bar-brawling adventurer that disappears into Mexico for six months camping, only to surface in Paris drinking Bordeaux with a diplomat’s daughter. Each season we find Roark in a different part of the world, telling stories of his exploits within our product, on social platforms and in a printed book at retail. Inspired by the culture and climate of Roark’s destination, we product two collection per year of clothing, luggage and trinkets – the artifacts of adventure. The product and stories we create empower people to discover through authentic, irreverent, dangerous, and purposeful adventure on the road less traveled.
