Iconic Byron Bay clothing brand THRILLS has proudly announced their goal to use entirely sustainable fabrics by the end of 2022, alongside the release of their new collection.
Reinforcing their long-term ambitions, the brand’s latest collection features a stellar lineup of sustainable focus fabrics such as Recycled Nylon, Hemp and Organic Cotton to reduce their footprint on the planet.
The local Byron Bay company has gone from strength-to-strength amidst COVID-19 uncertainty and THRILLS Co-Owner and Designer Tabitha McGregor explained fans can only expect bigger things in future as they take substantial steps towards their goal.
“Our fundamental goal is to be using all sustainable fabrics by 2022, and while we’re not perfect we’re doing everything we can to be more informed and proactive in lessening our footprint and improving our day-to-day operations,” she told.
“Although it’s an unsettling and uncertain time in the world right now, we’re grateful to have a die-hard fanbase who share our enthusiasm for conscious design, which has inspired us to create our proudest collection to-date,
“Our new collection features swimwear made using Recycled Nylon which reduces energy, consumption, and waste to landfill,” McGregor said. “We’ve also used hemp which contributes to the reversal of global warming and the impact of climate change, while also working closely with our factories to create one of the highest quality Hemp compositions in our market.”
THRILLS Women’s Designer, Serena Francis revealed the collection has strong attention to detail, being heavily influenced by the grunge of the 90s with a vintage-inspired aesthetic.
“Driven by the changing nature of the world around us, we’ve focused on relaxed silhouettes, intriguing patterns and fresh washes,” she explained.
“In muted hues and earthy tones, the collection takes on a more sophisticated approach, while also including vintage-inspired graphics we’re known and loved for.”
THRILLS’ new collection launches online and in-stores Thursday, 12th November at 3PM AEDT.
