Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) and Rastaclat are teaming up once again this year to give TLC’s “I Am Me” program graduates a warm send-off. Rastaclat and TLC have partnered for over a decade, and this year the lifestyle brand has donated over 100,000 assorted bracelets for teens graduating from TLC’s program. TLC’s “I Am Me” curriculum consists of 36 lessons that provide teens with a comprehensive framework to support their cognitive, social, and emotional development and this year they are celebrating 5,157 graduates.  This collaboration is meant to celebrate this milestone in teenagers’ lives and serve as a reminder of their strength and power to achieve their dreams as they enter the next chapter. TLC is grateful for the large donation and will use the remaining bracelets in the coming years for youth who attend the program or any of TLC’s workshops that are hosted at middle and high schools and other youth-facing nonprofits.

“TLC has a longstanding relationship with Rastaclat; we love partnering with a brand whose message of positivity resonates with our organization and what we do,” said Colleen Versteeg, CEO of TLC. “It serves as an ongoing reminder of what these teens have overcome and the power of a positive mindset.”

“Rastaclat’s ethos is positivity and it’s a core value of the brand to give back to the community and inspire a world of compassion for yourself and others,” said Daniel Kasidi, founder and CEO of Rastaclat. “We align with TLC in that, so this partnership always clicked, and we truly enjoy working with them in addition to contributing to teen mental health.”

In the past, Rastaclat has shown all levels of support to TLC, including donating bracelets to the organization, limited edition product collaborations to raise funds for the nonprofit and more. This is the 12th year the brand and organization have joined forces.

About TLC

The lack of resources and support for youth mental health services is alarming, especially considering the numerous and complex challenges our young people are facing today. TLC’s emotional wellness program is helping to fill this gap by equipping teens with essential life skills and coping techniques that combat issues like suicide, anxiety, depression, bullying, school violence, substance abuse, and addiction. Through its “I Am Me” curriculum, TLC empowers youth to overcome adversity and crises by developing critical life skills through a series of lessons that include effective communication, stress management, responsible decision-making, goal setting, and more. By providing youth with ongoing opportunities to apply different wellness techniques, including guided discussions, journaling, mindfulness moments, art, and role-playing, teens adopt a positive mindset, enabling them to move past trauma, navigate challenges, and thrive.
