The event, inspired by the Indiana Jones film franchise, brought together 144 golfers from the action sports, construction, and banking industries, as well as entrepreneurs and CEOs. Participants enjoyed opportunities to win prizes in several contests including: longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, straightest drive, putting and more. JStar and Liquid Graphics provided golfers with a hole-in-one chance to win a Jeep Wrangler Sport S and Elephant Cooperation sponsored an air cannon to give golfers an opportunity for better ball placement. Throughout the venue, participants enjoyed realistic props from RWB Party Props to make guests feel like they walked right into the movie, including the famous boulder, which provided a perfect photo opp, and many golfers, staff, vendors and volunteers dressed in theme. For the first time since the pandemic, everyone enjoyed a post-golf awards ceremony on the driving range with cocktails like “The Golden Idol,” “Fountain of Youth,” and “Temple of Doom” and appetizers aptly named after the movie, such as “Boulder Short Rib with Mashed Potatoes,” “Tanis Beef Tacos,” “Snake Bite Chicken Sliders,” “Ahh…Venice Pesto Flatbread Bites,” and more. The evening ended with an inspiring speech by TLC teen graduate Eric Kenneth, who shared his positive experience going through the program, and how he is now a facilitator that helps teens.

Next year’s event will take place on Monday, April 23, 2023.

The funds raised from the golf tournament will be used to expand Tilly’s Life Center’s (TLC) mission to inspire today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, happy, resilient, and responsible individuals. TLC gives young people the tools they need to overcome challenges like depression, suicide, anxiety, substance abuse, and school violence.

About Tilly’s Life Center

About Tilly’s Life Center: Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) is a nonprofit educational program that helps teens overcome the serious obstacles they are met with on a daily basis. Their proactive approach uses experiential learning, journal writing, open discussion, and other activities to guide teens in effectively coping with crisis, adopting healthy habits, and reaching their full potential. The curriculum is available as a high school course via virtual or in-person, an after-school program, or a series of workshops. Additionally, TLC has launched an Educator Certification initiative to train and license educators to implement their curriculum in their classrooms. Topics reflect what teens experience in their lives, such as stress management, bullying, body-image, coping mechanisms, and more. To find out more, please visitwww.tillyslifecenter.org.
