Vans Opens First Official Building in Japan

The building is in the heart of Tokyo.

Vans, the original action sports brand and advocate for creative expression, has opened the first Vans building in Japan, Asia. This 3-floor building located at the center of Harajuku, Tokyo, comprised multiple zones of different product ranges – with 1/F to 2/F displays footwear to apparel and accessories for men and women; and B1 floor dedicates to their skate collection.

As a brand that supports art and street culture, Vans has collaborated with 3 Japanese artists Shigeki MatsuyamaYutaka and Hirotton to present the Off The Wall spirit through paintings on the in-store walls. All these paintings are specifically created by the artists for the brand in their signature styles to express creativity with the support by Vans.

Vans building also offers various brand experiences to consumers, including in-store activations on action sports, music, art and street culture. The store will also be broadcasting live moments and highlights of Vans annual tournaments, such as Vans Park Series and Vans Musician Wanted, to fill the store with the unique energy that Vans has.
