Dometic continues as official camping gear partner of World Surf League Australia in 2022.
Published: February 25, 2022 Press Release

The World Surf League has today announced that it will be continuing its partnership with outdoor company Dometic for the Australian leg of the 2022 Championship Tour and Challenger Series.

The deal will see Dometic activate across the two Championship Tour events and two Challenger Series events to be held in Australia this coming April and May with WSL also continuing to produce branded content for the brand. WSL and Dometic share a love for outdoors and adventure and look forward to promoting an adventurous lifestyle throughout 2022.

“WSL is excited to continue our partnership with Dometic into the upcoming Aussie leg of CS and CT events,” said WSL APAC General Manager Andrew Stark. “Surfers are always looking for new waves and places to surf and Dometic is a brand that can bring that sense of adventure to life. The partnership has such great synergy and we look forward to sharing Dometic’s story to our fans once again in 2022.”

The deal will also see the continuation of the ‘Out the Back with Dometic’ broadcast integration where fans will get an insight into just what goes on out the back of the lineup during a heat. Dometic will receive branding and a robust advertising media plan on top of the branded content across all four major events to be held in Australia.

WSL Championship Tour veteran and Olympic Bronze Medalist Owen Wright is also set to continue as a brand ambassador for the entire 2022 season as he looks to clinch his maiden WSL World Title.

Other surfers including free-surf aerial sensation Chris ‘Chippa’ Wilson along with WSL Challenger Series hopefuls Sheldon Simkus and Macy Callaghan have also joined team Dometic in 2022, furthering the brand’s connection with the surfing lifestyle.

“We’re thrilled to announce we have partnered with the World Surfing League as the official Outdoor partner of the Australian leg of the tour for another year,” said Dometic Managing Director ANZ, Trent Rowe. “Partnering with the WSL is a natural fit for Dometic because the surfing lifestyle is all about being outdoors. Dometic products are here to improve the experience of outdoor adventures so you can make the most of it for longer with the best quality products. On behalf of Dometic, we wish everyone taking part in this year’s competition the best of luck.”
