Agenda, Capsule, and Liberty Fairs hosted the first-ever Assembly, a conference designed to educate, inspire, and entertain its community of retailers, brands, and influencers, on February 12th & 13th at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas. This seasons’s keynote speakers included some of the most notable names in fashion and leading business innovators; among them was fashion icon, actor, musician, designer and songwriter Jaden Smith and Ronnie Fieg, Founder and Creative Director of KITH.
Jaden Smith and Ronnie Fieg kicked off the keynote series on February 12th, in a conversational set-up moderated by Jeff Staple, Founder & Creative Director of Staple Design, to an audience of over 450 enraptured guests. Ronnie first spoke with Jeff, where he teased the opening of a new KITH store and touched on his company’s unprecedented growth in such a short time. Jaden then joined the stage where he discussed his artistry and love of collaboration and experimenting with fashion, as well as his passion and commitment to the environment and recycling. After Ronnie and Jaden spoke about their varied endeavors, the audience was invited for select questions and comments – musician and actor Fat Joe joined in the Q&A action as he stood up to praise Jaden for his individuality and success in pioneering in the difficult world of music and hip hop.
The other Assembly keynote speakers included Doug Palladini (Global Brand President, Vans), Harley Finkelstein (COO, Shopify, Jeff Rosenthal (Co-founder, Summit), and Tobias Reiss-Schmidt (President and CEO, Timex).
Assembly also featured live podcast tapings featuring “Group Chat” w/ Dee Murthy, Co-founder of Five Four Group and Young & Reckless along with Chris “Drama” Pfaff. Jeff Staple also debuted his new podcast “Business of Hype” along with special guests. In addition to the keynote speeches and aforementioned podcasts, Assembly presented panels, intimate workshops, and resource specialists dedicated to innovating manufacturing, business solutions, and forward-thinking solutions.
This first edition of Assembly brought a heightened community experience to the shows while promoting storytelling in a design-driven environment.
