The Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the ocean, waves and beaches, and Chipotle Mexican Grill are teaming up for a fun fundraiser in Southern California.
Stop by any Chipotle location in the counties of San Diego, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Ventura and Orange County on Thursday, December 7, mention the Surfrider fundraiser and Chipotle will generously donate 50 percent of the purchase total to Surfrider’s mission of protecting the coasts.
“We’re excited to work with Chipotle to help protect the ocean and coasts,” said Dr. Chad Nelsen, CEO of the Surfrider Foundation. “The coasts are where we live, work and play. But clean water, healthy beaches, accessible coasts and plastic-free shorelines are threatened every day. At Surfrider, we represent communities that have a stake in working to protect our ocean, waves and beaches for the long term and for everyone.”Â
All donated proceeds will support Surfrider’s programs, campaigns and volunteer-led chapters that defend and proactively protect our nation’s coasts from ongoing threats. For purchases to qualify, restaurant customers need only mention the fundraiser or show the cashier the fundraiser flyer before paying.
