- No fees, no hassles, and you will share warmth with people in need while receiving a tax write-off!
One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit organization that distributes half a million coats to people in need each year. Its Zero Waste Initiative provides a much-needed solution for manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers with overstock, samples, and irregular outerwear, and has kept millions of pounds of clothing out of landfills. It‘s a simple and sustainable way to clear out excess inventory while supporting communities and eliminating textile waste.
Lands’ End began donating to One Warm Coat more than five years ago. Matt Trainor, senior vice president of brand marketing and creative at Lands’ End, said, “This ongoing partnership with One Warm Coat is not only an ideal match for our mission, but also our unparalleled outerwear product assortment. We are thrilled to continue to grow this relationship and serve our community.”
Other donors to the Zero Waste Initiative include DICK’S Sporting Goods, Carharrt, Gap, and Free Country. In addition to participating in the Zero Waste Initiative, many brands engage customers by holding in-store coat drives.
Working with One Warm Coat’s Zero Waste Initiative is a great way to give back to the most vulnerable communities. With poverty rates continuing to increase, there is an urgent and growing need for basic necessities across the country. In One Warm Coat’s annual survey of their nonprofit partners, 84% anticipate an increased need this fall and winter. Your company’s donation of any size can make a significant, tangible impact.
