A global marketing leader and retailer of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services.  The company is distinguished among the athletic footwear and athletic apparel industry worldwide, selling its products to retail accounts through company-owned retail stores and Internet sales.  The customer’s product line is also sold through a mix of independent distributors and licensees, in approximately 190 countries around the world.

Challenge

In order to sustain higher volume demand and maximize supplier distribution methods, the retail manufacturer required a service provider that would not only minimize the frequency of service failures but also reduce the impact to the environment in relation to fuel and Co2 emissions.

While other airfreight providers had failed in providing a more efficient service by increasing service failures with the customer, fuel bands were equally important to address environmental concerns.  As a result and in response to diversifying the customer’s current provider base, the customer was in search for a unique provider that would address both concerns.
