Historically and culturally significant boards owned by legendary surfers such as Miki Dora, David Nuuhiwa, John Milius, Fred Van Dyke and Kelly Slater will be auctioned off this Saturday as part of the California Gold Surf Auction.
The auction theme this fall is “Barns, Rafters & Honey Holes” and features 44 curated museum quality lots including art, magazines, and a 1966 The Ventures Model Mosrite electric guitar. Of course surfboards rule the day and legendary shapers such as Bob Simmons, Pat Curren, Hobie Alter, Gerry Lopez, Dick Brewer, Renny Yater, Greg Noll, Rich Harbour and Barry Kanaiaupuni are represented. Many of the lots are selling at No Reserve.
