Nick’s Notes for May

SIA members get the best possible square footage rates for the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show.
Published: May 10, 2019

We had some snow in Park City this week, probably one last blast of winter before we say goodbye to the epic winter of 2018/19. It’ll be only a few months before we’re all back out there again, but in the meantime, we’re already setting plans for the 2020 season.

First of all, I want to relay some exiting news about member booth space pricing at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show. We understand how important the economics of the trade show are so we’ve worked closely with Outdoor Retailer to ensure that our members continue to receive the best pricing at ORSS, and we’re happy to say that SIA Premium Members will have the best possible square footage rate found anywhere, while their membership dues stay the same as last year.

For example, the rate for SIA Premium Members is $16.65 per square foot while Standard Members pay $18.68 per square foot. In comparison,
non-SIA members can pay up to $33/sq. ft. So if you’re a current SIA member and exhibit at ORSS, the membership literally pays for itself.

From all the feedback we’ve heard over the past year, we understand that trade show pricing is one of the most important issues facing our membership, so we’re thankful that OR was able to accommodate our needs and we hope this makes your ORSS experience that much better.

If you want to take advantage of this, do it before July 1 as rates go up at that time. Please call your SIA membership representative or email us at membership@snowsports.org and we’ll be in touch right away. Or visit snowsports.org/membership for details.

I also welcome your feedback. We are here to serve you so please feel free to contact me at nick.sargent@snowsports.org with any thoughts.

Happy Spring!
