Dear CORP members,
Thank you very much for supporting California Outdoor Recreation Partnership (CORP) in 2019! As a member of CORP, you are a key component of our coalition that supports shaping outdoor recreation policy. We believe in an inclusive community of outdoor participants in California around the benefits of outdoor recreation. Together, we are strong advocates for California’s growing and vibrant active outdoor recreation industry and will continue this success in 2020 with your help.
As California contributes $92 billion in consumer spending on outdoor recreation each year, our state makes up the largest amount to the outdoor industry’s national impact of $887 billion on the U.S. economy. We are dedicated to ensuring that lawmakers and land managers recognize and promote the benefits that the outdoor recreation economy brings to California.
For 2019, our achievements include:
- 70+ members
- 225 letters sent to lawmakers
- 65 meetings with lawmakers
- 20 meetings at February 25th Summit Sacramento
- 40 meetings at August 19th Summit Sacramento
- 5 in-District Meetings
- 4 written testimonies given to state legislators
- 2 Sacramento Advocacy Days – Summit Sacramento
- 2 informational webinars
- 2 informational events – Outdoor Retailer Winter Market | Outdoor Retailer Summer Market
