As the fastest growing city in North America for Salomon, New York presents an opportunity for the brand to create an authentic presence in a city that understands meaningful, everyday wearability. Sitting at the intersection of New York City creatives and global visitors, SoHo has historically been a place for top designers and galleries to tap into a diverse group of consumers, making it an ideal location for the first Sportstyle pop-up store.
Building on meteoric growth over the last five years, Salomon’s Sportstyle collection draws inspiration from its heritage performance designs, seamlessly blending style with function. This line serves as an important cornerstone of the brand’s future and business. A curated assortment of footwear will be available at the location including signature styles like ACS, Speedcross 3, and the highly sought after XT-6. Also highlighted will be the sleek winter boot, Snowclog.
“New York has been a global cultural hub for decades, and its community has long known and adopted Salomon. Most recently that connectivity has been to some of its most vaunted heritage styles, which are seen everyday on the streets of New York City. Seeing that adoption was motivation to speak to and connect directly through a store.” – Steve Doolan, President of the Americas
With global stores in London, Barcelona, Seoul, Tokyo and beyond, including the Salomon flagship store on Champs-Élysées and a Sportstyle Concept Store in Le Marais, Paris, the New York City pop-up will serve as a test in the U.S. as the brand plans to expand to five physical stores in 2025, beginning with a permanent space in New York City.
In celebration of the grand opening on October 2nd, guests can enter a raffle for a chance to win a pair of Salomon XT-6, every hour on the hour from 11AM-7PM. Along with free Salomon tote bags – specially designed for New York, there will be a gift with purchase featuring shoe accessories such as Pearl bows by Cr8 Lacy, Balomons by Ilyang Ilyang, and crochet accessories by Christina Fernandez. Coffee and light bites will be provided by Ground Support Café, with happy hour refreshments from Sweet Chick and music from DJ Rich Fazo.
