Element Skateboards today announces the addition of Jon Miner to the company as Global Video Director. Started in 1992 by founder Johnny Schillereff, the Southern California based brand is currently celebrating its 25-year anniversary.
Jon has been making skate videos for over 20 years, and is most known for his body of work with footwear brand Emerica and their legendary team. In addition to his contributions in filming and editing THIS IS SKATEBOARDING, Jon directed the videos KIDS IN EMERICA, STAY GOLD, and the MADE series. In 2016, THE SKATEBOARD MAG named Jon Director of the Year for his film MADE Chapter 2.
As Element has recently began work on a feature skate video, the brand has been searching for the perfect director and leader for the brand’s audio/visual projects into the future. “Over our 25 year history, video has always been the main channel to showcase Element and our amazing teams. We’ve had the good fortune to work with some of skateboarding’s best directors, and we’re so hyped to continue that tradition with Jon.” – Johnny Schillereff
